Dutch Marine Contractors successfully completed the turn key installation of a new LiDAR Buoy

The new prototype LiDAR buoy, manufactured by EOLOS (www.eolossolutions.com ) is a fully autonomous and all-in-one system which can accurately measure wind, wave and current. It has been designed to minimize both CAPEX and OPEX of offshore wind measurement campaigns. Its purposely designed structural skeleton and mooring system provides the necessary robustness to withstand the rough environment of the North Sea, while at the same time reducing the weight of the system.

EOLOS appointed Dutch Marine Contractors last year to fulfill their requirement of a Turn-Key Dutch contractor who could arrange transport, assembling, testing and the required paperwork and finally the installation of the LiDAR Buoy 40Nm offshore of Ijmuiden. Dutch Marine Contractors used one of their anchor handling tugs the “Bever”, which they have under Commercial Management, for the offshore installation.

Dutch Marine Contractors herewith proves to be a practical and solid partner for all kind of turn-key maritime (transport/installation/salvage) projects. “By using an experienced, dedicated DMC Project Manager and, if required, one of our Managed tugs, you can achieve your project goals within budget and on schedule”, explains Dutch Marine Contractor Director Timon van der Vlies.
